Are you still taking registrations?
Steeplechase will be holding open registration the morning of the race. Please go to the table titled POST-REGISTRATION, not the Progin's Players tent.
The costs are $55 for the 25K run, $25 for the 5K walk/run and $10 for the Kids Sprint - Payable to SMCF. To expedite the line, please consider filling out the application form in advance which you can download here.
Once registered with Steeplechase, you can come to the Progin's Players tent and make the appropriate donation ($52 for 25K, $28 for 5K, $12 for kids sprint - Payable to The Progin Family Fund).
Shirts will be available to those who register day of beginning at 9:30 AM (AFTER THE RACE). While we know many people would like to wear them during the race, we remain committed that everyone who pre-registered receive the shirt they signed up for.

More places may be announced via email and on facebook so please check back often. We will have a tent on race day to hand out the few shirts to those unable to pick them up.
- 25K'ers have the choice of coolmax or cotton.
- 5K'ers receive cotton.
- Coolmax available to purchase for $10 per shirt for registered participants.
Check should made payable to Progin Family Fund with "shirt" in the memo field.
Can I buy a shirt?
At this time, shirts can not be purchased by non-registered participants. We just don't know if we'll have enough given the rapid growth of our team. We remain committed that every person who registers receives a shirt. We are thankful to all who have offered to purchase a shirt and we hope to have them for sale after October 2nd.
How is it possible for this many people to park at Amsterdam School?
It's not. So we need people to use our team alternate parking, car pool and/or get dropped off. We still need people to car pool even to our alternate sites. As some people are attending with children and strollers we ask that you try and leave as many spots at/near the school for those with stroller aged children. The school is located at 301 Amsterdam Drive, Hillsborough. Directions can be found at http://www.oymp.net/Raceinfo/steeplechase.htm.
The Baseball Complex on Willow Road (530 Willow Road, Hillsborough) will be open to parking for our team and have shuttle buses running. (200 spots)
Pheasant's Landing (311 Amwell Road, Hillsborough) will also be open for parking and have shuttle buses running. (150 spots)
Shuttles will run from 6:45 AM to 1 PM to take you to and from Amsterdam School.
How do I get to the alternate parking sites?
Directions are to the baseball complex. In route to that location, you will pass Pheasant's Landing. It is at the intersection of Willow and Amwell Road.
From points West: Route 78 East to Exit 29 (287 South toward Perth Amboy). Proceed to Exit 17 for Route 202/206 South toward Somerville. Continue to the 3rd exit in Somerville Circle and proceed down Route 206 South. Continue on
Route 206 South for 6 miles. Turn left onto Amwell Road. Proceed on Amwell Road for approximately 2 miles to Willow Road, (traffic light at intersection) turn right onto Willow Road; proceed to the baseball complex on the right.
From points South: Garden State Parkway or Route 1 North to Route 287 North. Take Route 287 North to Exit 14 (on the left) for Route 22 West. Proceed on Route 22 West to the exit for Routes 202/206 South. Continue to the 3rd exit in the Somerville Circle and proceed down Route 206 South. Continue on Route 206 South for 6 miles. Turn left onto Amwell Road. Proceed on Amwell Road for approximately 2 miles to Willow Road, (traffic light at intersection) turn right onto Willow Road; proceed to the baseball complex on the right.
From Northern NJ: Garden State Parkway South to Exit 142. Merge onto Route 78 West. At Exit 29, merge onto Route 287 South toward Route 202/206 South. Follow Route 206 South signs. Continue on Route 206 South for 6 miles. Turn left onto Amwell Road. Proceed on Amwell Road for approximately 2 miles to Willow Road, (traffic light at intersection) turn right onto Willow Road; proceed to the baseball complex on the right.
Where do I go when I get to Amsterdam school?
There will be lines titled 25K/5K Run Pre-Reg and 5K Walk Pre-Reg. Each of these sections will be divided alphabetically and correspond to your last name. Stand in the appropriate line to get your Steeplechase shirt and race number. Please note that you will not be able to get a shirt size different than you specified on your race application.
As you are facing the tent, the Kids' Spring Registration / Check in will be on the far right side.
If I park at the lot, what will I do with my Steeplechase shirt and things I bring to the starting line?
There will be a race bag check. Very simply, you can check a bag of goodies and it will be filed under your race number for you to pick up after the race.
What time should I be there?
Registration opens at 7AM. Each participant needs to check in, pick up a race number and their shirt from Steeplechase. We have at least 650 people on Progin's Players and at least 300 other people are doing this race so it's going to be extremely busy. It gets busier as race time approaches so the earlier the better. Leave yourself ample time as not to add stress to your plate on race morning.

Should I stop by the Progin's Players tent?
Please do as we have 400 bags with notes from our sponsors to share with our team. We apologize that we don't have one for every participants and ask that each family take only one.
What are the details of the after party?
At 2 PM on October 2nd, a party will take place at Pheasant's Landing to celebrate the accomplishments of our team - complete with a DJ, photo booth and silent auction of items donated. We are tenting the front lawn so as registered participants you are welcome to enjoy this party with your family.
Pheasant's Landing is providing the food at cost and will have a cash bar with a portion of the proceeds going to the Progin family. We remain committed that every dollar raised goes to the Progin family, therefore there will be a cost to attend. It's $15 per person, $7 for those under 14 and free for those under 1.
Tickets will be available to purchase in advance at shirt pick up. Checks should be made payable to cash with the number of people attending (Ex - 2 Adults, 2 kids, 1 infant) in the memo field.
Having said that many people are unsure if they will be able to make it. With the size of our team and the fact that we must prepare food, we have sent an evite to all registered participants. Please RSVP to this ASAP so we have some idea of how to plan for this party. Tickets will then be available at the door.
If you have purchased tickets already, please RSVP yes to the evite as I will be counting from there.
